Paradigm-An accepted standard of knowledge, like a belief in religion or the stereotypical

Ask yourself these questions:

What is your perception of beauty?

What is the paradigm of beauty?

We all perceive things differently; your perception is generated by many outside and internal influences.  In with that being said, the general populace’s perception dictates the paradigm of size and beauty.  As years past the perception has changed the paradigm.  During the Renaissance period, where “big” was the paradigm of beauty, well being and health, for some reason, over the centuries, it has deteriorated to a point to where true beauty is forgotten and lost to a small, unimaginable size.  By no means am I condemning those of the petite and “fragile” stature.  I am just stating that we must educate the populace into a new paradigm and perception as to what real and true beauty is.  It is the person, the mind and the soul.  Beauty is not found in a magazine nor is it found on television or movies.  Accept what you have, be proud of what you have; yell to the world “I am beautiful!”

My daughter is a large girl, taking genetically after her father.  She 22 and she has had at many times, serious self esteem issues and still does but not as much.  I watched her growing up and being the brunt of many cruel words and acts against her because of her size.  It broke my heart; I wanted to strike out in vengeance against those who hurt my child.  But rationale took over and I knew that for her to be happy no acts of retaliation on my part could ever soften the blows or take away the hurt.  When I read the positive outlook and words that are written in these blogs if gives me hope for my child, I call her a child even though she is 22, none the less she will always be my “baby gurl”.  Because of the positive light this and other blogs from here have given I plan to send her a link and hopefully she will become a frequent reader and supporter.  I am sure that the positive energy that radiates from here will have a positive effect and that she too can learn from you, the true meaning of beauty.

On a different note I must comment on many of the photos posted here.  They are beautiful!  But the one thing that fascinates more than anything..  Don’t laugh, but it’s the makeup.  I don’t know why, but it does, I love the sharp lines and bold use of the colors. The outfits many of the women sport, the hair styles, the tattoos and body modifications are cool, but the makeup, especially of the “pin up” style from the 40’s is absolutely gorgeous.

As I had written to the owner of this blog, I don’t want to be perceived as the “proverbial dirty old man”.  I just want to offer an opinion of someone one who has seen a lot, felt a lot and experienced things that only age and time can give you.  I again salute you ladies for your beauty, your intelligence and refusal to let society dictate to you what you are suppose to be.

Change the perception and alter the paradigm!
