About the size 2 comment... she's clearly not saying "all you curvy women wish you looked like me"... she's saying "To all those that do wish they were a size 2, like me..." There's a difference. And yep, there are plenty of curvy women who wish they were a size 2. I was one of them. That's why blogs like this exist! To let curvy women know they don't have to keep wishing they were.

Aren't comparisons and competition the source of insecurities amongst women?
I took that into consideration too, but the way I’ve chosen to do it isn’t asking others to vote on each individual, it’s chosen at random by me. There would be no comparisons made between any of the girls who choose to enter. It isn’t even really a competition, it’s just a bit of fun, no one is getting hurt, ridiculed or offended.

I’ve been a lousy blog runner person, but now I have decided that it is time we start a little contest every month!
It will be titled Inspirational Lady Of The Month!
Soon I will post a text post and all you have to do is reblog that so I know who the entrants are, and add a favourite photo of yourself (which will be used on the main board in the event that you win :D ) I’ll do this every month from now on around the same date, let’s say between the 25th and 30th of each month.
You will have a whole two days to reblog the text post from the date the entry text post is put up on GPC by me :)
You can reblog as many times as you like.
Winners will be chosen at random by me, there will be no bias. Effectively I’ll be putting all the entrant’s names in a hat and pulling one out.
The winner will be notified by a private message from me and their photo will be displayed on GPC for the rest of that calender month until the next contest is put up.

I just wanted to get a late response to the anon talking about not having seats because of the fat person buying multiple seats. 1) if i pay money for 3 seats, i'm getting my 3 motherfucking seats. 2)if you didn't end up getting to sit there and had to get another flight/train, should've bought them earlier. 3)are fat people or disabled people or anyone you consider a slight hassle in public seating supposed to walk 2k miles to where they're going? I'll never understand what the infatuation with skinny girls with bones sticking out is. I mean there really is no mystery to that type of body. Women with curves have so many shapes to them! Much more to discover with women with curves. I think all women are beautiful, but please don't starve yourself if you aren't a size 0. I love this page with all the support that everyone gives to one another. Makes me sad that some anon's are such assholes at times. Stay curvy my lady friends!! :)

You need some nice anons. I used to self harm over my weight. I was shamed about it daily. And to that anon: I am overweight, yes, but NEVER has my weight affected anyone but me. Not everyone who is overweight takes up multiple bus seats, and even those who do don't deserve to be treated as less than human. I'm a size 18 and I was treated like shit. This blog has helped me more than anyone trying to "help me get healthy" ever has. So fuck off, please.
