do you know something that bothers me? and i'm not blaming you or trying to start a fight, and i'm certainly not trying to be rude, but i just think people need to realize this.
i'm curvy. there's no other word for me. i'm 5'2, my hips are a size 3 my waist is a size 0 and my bra size is 32dd. i have very obvious curves, but i'm not at all plus sized.
and it just frustrates me, and even screws with my self confidence when the "nice" term for plus sized women is curvy, when there are several not-plus sized women out there who are curvy, too.
i've been about this size since i was around 13 or 14. imagine a 13 or 14 year old girl being called curvy and then seeing on a website or in a magazine a picture of a very plus-sized woman who is labeled "curvy". i am proof that it does the same thing to your head as it would if a skinny kid kept being called fat.
idk if i'm making sense at all...but in a strange way its blogs like yours that make smaller curvy girls like me feel self conscious about our bodies. sure, it might make plus sized girls feel good, but i wonder if theres a better way to do that without making other people feel bad?
its like when theres a blog post about how seeing someones spine or ribs is ugly and that boys don't like skinny girls, just curvy girls, when there are girls out there who are naturally skinny and can't help it.
i feel like as a general rule, when we try to make one group feel good about themselves we end up making another group feel terrible.
can't we promote self confidence and beauty without bringing people down??

I don’t think it’s true to say that men don’t find skinny or slim girls attractive, because there are plenty of men who do, but what a man likes to see shouldn’t dictate how you look, whether you’re big or small.

Curves are beautiful on anybody, whether you have a small frame and large breasts, large hips and tiny breasts, or whatever.

Curvy women are sexy and healthy and some pictures you post are more than healthy curvy women, there is nothing sexy about being unhealthy
As I have said before, I post pictures that some of my followers may be able to relate to.
Smoking is unhealthy too, and drinking and doing drugs… But there are people who love people who smoke, drink and do drugs.
Not all curvy women may appeal to you, but I’m not going for appeal, this blog is for people who love chubby, curvy, plus size women, not just the generic “plus size” or “curvy” size 12.
I think the women I post pictures of are sexy, beautiful and confident, I want the girls and women who follow my blog to see that you can be sexy at any size. Any size at all.
IWhy does it MATTER to anyone what someone's medical condition is like?? ALL bodies are beautiful, be they medically overweight, underweight, disabled, transgendered, or otherwise variant from the "norm", whether they are of ideal health or not. MANY women and men of ideal size are in terrible health, and it's no more or less anyone's business. I love the blog and find it super classy and respectful. Right on.

i agree with what you're doing, but is the title 'gentlemen prefer curves' really what you should be aiming for? I mean there's more to being a woman than being found attractive by men, don't you agree?
To be honest, I didn’t really put too much thought into the name of this blog, I was thinking of things and the movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” popped into my head, subsequently I changed “Blondes” to “Curves”
This blog is about promoting healthy and realistic self image, showing that you don’t have to be a certain weight to be sexy and beautiful, and that it doesn’t matter what other people think of you, as long as you’re comfortable and happy.

I don’t agree with your comment, almost everyone over a size 8 is considered “medically obese”.
In Australia a size 12 (US size 10) is considered overweight and “plus size”, and contrary to some shallow people’s beliefs, there are people who actually do like bigger, chubby, curvy, plus size and “queen-size” women (and men).
I post photos of models that my followers like to see and can relate to, be they chubby, plump or BBW.
I think this page is inspiring. To see hundreds of skinny models in magazines its comforting to see women like this so confident and proud.
