so how come , if im plus sized and apparently some men prefer curves i get no dates , no anything .

Don’t get down on yourself about it though, you are beautiful and there is someone out there for you, who will love you and your curves!
I understand that not all men like curves, but not all men like thin girls either, but I am a firm believer that there is someone out there for everyone!
